I don't think caffeine can keep you awake for three nights in a row, Cara, and when it does, it goes too far the other way around. Best just to get as full a sleep as you can manage and make the best of it.
[Pause for thinking. He knows somewhere inside his heart that he ought to be asking "do you want to talk about it" but really doesn't want to go through with it. Time for the easy way out!]
If you did, just be grateful it wasn't the one you were born with.
Not bad. I just don't like having something that belongs to someone else in my head. There isn't much we can do about it except wait for it to stop, though.
[Talking to him about it would probably be awkward as heck anyway.]

Date: 2009-11-24 01:38 am (UTC)Well I meant what makes it work for keeping you awake. But I guess that's like asking what makes any kind of food "work."

Date: 2009-11-24 01:55 am (UTC)Oh. That'd be the caffeine, then. It's in other foods like chocolate, though I doubt the cocoa that was coming down would wake you up the same way.
Yeah. Of a sort. Very hard beans.

Date: 2009-11-24 02:06 am (UTC)Yeah, cocoa usually is good for getting to sleep. So caffeine is like the vitamins, the things in food you can't see?
Wow. I wonder who came up with that.

Date: 2009-11-24 02:23 am (UTC)Yeah, sort of like that. Some kind of chemical... something.
No telling. People will make food out of anything they can keep down.

Date: 2009-11-24 03:18 am (UTC)That's true! But it's kind of a complicated process, isn't it?

Date: 2009-11-24 03:28 am (UTC)I'm not really sure. I never looked into what it takes to get coffee beans.
Why yes, I am referencing Klatchian coffee

Date: 2009-11-24 05:51 am (UTC)But last ni[thinks better of that and crosses it out.]
I meant for staying awake in the daytime. But I'll just try counting chocobos tonight and see if that helps.
[ooc: derp *fixes what I meant to write* Obvs I need sleep too :|b ]
You got it!

I kinda liked that dream, actually.

Date: 2009-11-25 02:06 am (UTC)I'm okay. It's just I had the dream of someone who isn't here anymore.
